At the National Center for PTSD at the Veterans Administration, A/Prof Joe Ruzek and his team developed and deployed approximately 20 mental health apps for veterans and survivors of other traumas. PTSD Coach, for example, was downloaded over a million times in 96 countries. This presentation describes the thinking behind these and other efforts to develop mental health technologies for PTSD and other trauma-related problems, and derives several possible lessons for future efforts
